His name is not a coincidence.

Rachin. A combination of Rahul and Sachin — Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar. Two of the greatest cricketers India ever produced. His parents, Indian immigrants who made New Zealand home, named their son after the gods of the game they left behind.

On Sunday morning, that son walks onto a cricket field to face India in a World Cup final.

Think about what that means for a moment.

The Indian diaspora worldwide — the same community that fills BIFF's audience, that watched Sanju Samson's 89 off 42 with their hearts in their throats — will cheer for India while watching a player whose very existence is a love letter to India. A player who carries Rahul and Sachin in his name into the biggest match of his life.

There is no neutral position on Rachin Ravindra. He is India's gift to New Zealand playing against India on the grandest stage cricket has ever offered.

If India wins he is the opponent they respect most.

If New Zealand wins he is the story the world remembers.

Either way — BIFF will be in the room.

If it's cricket — BIFF delivers. 🏏
